Responsible for creating and implementing training programs and overseeing the development of training materials and supplies to enhance training procedures. Identify future training needs and create curriculum to facilitate that training. Search for gaps in training material or content. Set performance metrics, evaluate productivity, and communicate with team leaders and members on organizational needs.


  • Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within an organization
  • Supervise technical training for staff
  • Conduct orientation sessions
  • Create brochures and training materials
  • Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations
  • Create testing and evaluation processes
  • Prepare and implement training budget
  • Evaluate needs of company and plan training programs accordingly
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Provide companies with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops
  • Manage staff of classroom facilitators
  • Provide performance feedback
  • Conduct continuing education training
  • Provide leadership development education
  • Build solid cross-functional relationships
  • Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management
  • Plan the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budgets
  • Assist with the development of strategic plans


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in management, training, education or other related field
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Support experience setting up a PMO for a large contract
    • Sound understanding of adult learning techniques, best practices in training design and delivery, blended learning methodologies and industry best practice.
    • Knowledge of project management, supervisory experience
    • Ability to monitor and record improvements in performance
    • Ability to provide feedback and demonstrate a variety of coaching methods.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
    • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective
    • Experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
    • Capable of managing a small team (5 team members or less) to provide direction and oversight of daily tasks
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Experience working with Department of State Customer

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager
