Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategies that create efficiencies designed to reduce risks. These risks may be associated with compliance gaps and failures associated with applicable laws and regulations. Perform root cause analyses, issues reviews, and making recommendations to senior management both verbally and in writing.


  • Assist in the investigation and identification of issues and monitor evolving issues that may result in new risks for the program and/or specific task order
  • Participate in regular reviews and analyses with Quality Assurance to identify and act upon issues and potential new risks
  • Be responsible for preparing regular project updates to management, including the number of risks, areas of impact, severity of risk, and current action plan activities
  • Be responsible for leading and assisting in the development and implementation of strategies that create efficiencies and reduce program and task order level risks
  • Participate in all group, task order, and program level meetings to identify potential new risks and bring to the attention of the program risk manager to the extent as possible
  • Monitor current risks to ensure that corrective action plans are on track for reduction/elimination of risks
  • Assist with educating other team members on the importance of proactive risk management
  • Act as Risk Manager in her/his absence


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Extensive experience in Risk Management with strong knowledge of Information Security practices and standards
    • Project management skills
    • Specific experience conducting risk assessments and structured risk analysis processes
    • Broad knowledge of technology, networking, security tools, vulnerabilities, and exploits
    • Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and communications skills
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or similar risk specific certifications preferred

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager
