Subject Matter Expert in OpenText, responsible for driving best practice business and technical requirements to meet enterprise integration and implementation. Utilize product expertise to provide highest quality technical oversight on architectural efficiencies and scalability. Be able to work in a collaborative environment with other technical Subject Matter Experts from various integrated disciplines.


  • Utilize solid background in collaboration with Stakeholders and other technical SMEs to identify critical path to successful implementation of enterprise Content Management solution
  • Manage customer relationships to extract clear business requirements and convert to design specifications
  • Work with other technical and business process managers providing insight into OpenText operational best practices
  • Provide insight and guidance on testing OpenText within various environments for validation and troubleshooting purposes
  • Guide the reporting of software issues and capabilities against customer suggestions, and interface with development to prioritize issues, further troubleshoot and test solutions
  • Serve as support point for defining risks and issues needing escalation by Isolating, reproducing and analyzing complex or support issues through to resolution, either via assignment or direct ownership depending on severity
  • Document and review processes, best practices, white papers, etc. for both internal and customer consumption
  • Design and deliver technical training on existing and new product as required


  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge in:
      • OpenText Content Management and Client-side Add-ons
      • OpenText Integration architecture and tools
      • Web Administration
      • Active Directory/LDAP
      • DB Management (Backup/Restore)
      • Oracle\MS-SQL experience
      • Application Server experience, deploying apps\supporting them
      • Server technologies: Understanding the bigger picture of network deployments, support in a large environment
      • Possess high level of understanding in SSL Certificates - high level understanding
    • Knowledge in:
      • Infrastructure using High Availability
      • Net Monitoring Tools
      • Performance troubleshooting
      • POP3 - Email communication
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • Experience working with Department of State customers
    • Human capital consulting experience a plus
    • 4+ years of SME experience or demonstrated ability in OpenText
    • Strong functional expertise with Enterprise products
    • Specialization in Content Management or equivalent technical
    • Familiarity with one or more operating system
    • Experience with database products and technology desired.
    • Programming skills or understanding is an asset.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
    • Eager to learn new technologies
