  • Overview

    Responsible for the ongoing analysis and improvement of the program’s data inventory. Analyze business information, gather data, prepare ad hoc reports, and provide quality assurance. Should have a passion for data and be interested in working with large data sets.


    • Collect and gather program data and artifacts for performance measurement analysis, program reviews, audits, customer meetings, and others as needed
    • Analyze business objectives and develop data solutions to meet customer needs
    • Improve and customize current data solutions to meet business functional and non-functional requirements
    • Develop and document the standard data reporting processes
    • Interact with Management, IT, Compliance and Performance personnel to gather data management requirements and construct the necessary quality control procedures
    • Research new and existing data sources to contribute to new development, improve data management processes, and make recommendations for data quality initiatives
    • Perform complex data analysis and investigation for customer requests to explain results and to make appropriate recommendations
    • Assist program management in establishing data security guidelines
    • Maintain best practices to ensure data are appropriately secured from security breaches
    • Determine root cause for data integrity gaps resulting from previously uncontrolled migrations to provide appropriate data resolution and remedy process
    • Perform periodic data quality reviews for internal and external data
    • Define Strategy, Methodology, and Validation processes for enterprise data migration, integration and validation from multiple systems into a IWMS
    • Document Strategy, Methodology and Validation processes
    • Develop and maintain data Taxonomy, data dictionary, and user business rules manifest for enterprise


    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ directly related experience
    • Required Knowledge/Experience:
      • Agile development methodology experience
      • Ability to analyze and maintain business technical documentation
      • Demonstrated understanding and application of advanced analytic algorithms
      • Ability to program in Python and working knowledge of R
      • Strong technical accomplishments in SQL, ETL and data blending tools
      • Understands database architectures, and data warehousing concepts
      • Strong written and verbal communication
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
      • Ability to collect and prepare program health
    • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
      • Experience working with Department of State Customer

    • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager
