  • Overview

    Support a large federal task order contract and will be responsible for oversight of a business process team. Lead the analysis of operational processes to drive enhancements and efficiencies and will provide project management support to the organization. Stay informed of the technology strategy and developments and ensures assigned projects are aligned with that strategy and goals. Serve as the focal point for automated workflow activity, ensuring that workflows are incorporated in a strategic manner into new processes and that existing processes are update.


    • Lead in support of program team, all business process reengineering for customer
    • Review existing programs /processes and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improve current techniques. Review all business process change requests
    • Lead Business Process gap analyses and resulting support service planning and generation
    • Provide oversight over Program Management Office Business Process Improvement Team as well as several Business Process Workshop Teams
    • Define standards for business process documentation, artifacts, processes, and policies and manage adherence and quality to those standards across the overall program
    • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine approach and feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
    • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
    • Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance
    • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems
    • Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration
    • Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration
    • Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status


    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s with 5+ years overall consulting experience
    • Required Knowledge/Experience:
      • 2-4 years of relevant, client-facing consulting experience with the Federal Government
      • Experience leading programs involving technology migration, IT operations, Software Development, Program Management Office
      • Demonstrable expertise in more than one of the following:
        • Software Engineering, Development, and Operations
        • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
        • Case Management Operations
        • Database Management Operations
        • Experience leading Agile projects using Lean approaches
      • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
        • Experience working with Department of State customers
        • Experience with TRIRIGA and/or OpenText
        • PMP certified preferred

    Other Responsibilities

    • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager
