  • Overview

    Lead in the management of auditing services to support a customer’s compliance needs. Interact directly with key stakeholders to coordinate impactful internal audit activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the execution of compliance including the performance of contracted operations training and ad-hoc staff
    • Oversee all aspects of internal audit activities, including: risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, and report issuance
    • Drive continuous improvement of overall internal audit processes
    • Ensure audits are executed in accordance with the customer’s and with professional standards in a timely and efficient manner
    • Lead a high performing team through motivating and providing clear and effective directions to the internal audit team
    • Perform either 1st or 2nd level review of internal project activities
    • Build close working relationships with internal audit team members, senior customer leadership and other colleagues

    Qualifications

    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s with 10+ years’ experience
      • OR Masters with 5+ years’ experience
    • Required Knowledge/Experience:
      • Professional Certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors – Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
      • Overall proven ability to influence and partner across an evolving organization
      • Advanced degree with emphasis in Business Administration/Finance, and relevant business experience
      • Minimum 10 years of business experience that includes some combination of treasury, corporate finance, and accounting and 5 years of internal audit experience
      • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and develop process efficiencies where required
      • Strong presentation skills, particularly in the development of professional and thoughtful materials
      • Highly motivated individual driven to keep pace in a fast moving and dynamic environment
      • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
      • Ability to drive key program and process improvements and effectively manage priorities and ambiguity
    • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
      • Experience working with Department of State Customers
      • PMP certification

    Other Responsibilities

    • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Services
